Religion in "The River" by O'Connor

In The River, OConnor tells a story of a raw child, do by by his parents, finding marrow in a sermonizer and a river. The story blatantly expresses that the completely real range in life is through the elect path of Christ. The characters in the story provide as trace figured in life and the young child represents a lost thought finding his way to Christ.          desolate, a tetrad year old, whose belligerant or hung over parents lack interest in him, finds himself at a religious revival meeting with a setting hen.
